From 7 to 10 October in Kiev for the first time will be held the festival of contemporary art, fashion and cultural collaborations Kyiv Art & Fashion Days, the ideologist of which was Sofia Chkonia

Founder of the Fashion Week in Georgia Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi Sofia Chkonia will present multifunctional platform for promotion and exchange creative and inspiring ideas.
My goal is to make Kiev a center for art and fashion, to which both festival participants and guests, representatives of foreign media, cultural organizations, famous people will come from all over the world to exchange ideas and work together on their implementation. For me, as a foreigner, Kiev is definitely the city of the future

The project aims to raise awareness in Ukraine and an increase in the global presence of local fashion and art industries. Kyiv Art & Fashion Days is meeting place for designers, creatives, media, buyers and cultural institutionsthat play a key role in bringing fashion and art together under one roof.
The festival will become a kind of platform that will provide Ukrainian creatives with a place for direct communication with the media and buyers.
In my opinion, such creative cooperation has real potential for the formation of a new cultural language and the transmission of the values of Ukraine and the countries of Eastern Europe at the global level. For this, already in the first “edition” of the project, we invited representatives of the world’s leading media, cultural and public figures to come to Kiev and see everything with our own eyes “

So, it is already known that Paper magazine editorial director Mickey Boardman and photographer Adam Katz Sinding will attend the event.
The first participants Kiev festival will become brands GUDU, ARTEMKLIMCHUK, Lake Studio, Bobkova, Situationist, photographers Davit Giorgadze, Julie Poly, art group Fungus.
So, designers will present their new collections, and Fungus will hold Antifashion a collaboration exhibition that will reflect the influence of queer culture on the fashion industry and how fashion sometimes absorbs queer culture.
The full list of participants, as well as the festival schedule, which will include performances, panel discussions, presentations and screenings, will be announced shortly.
