Spider Star Pizza: How Jizio Pizza Really Tastes (Tasting)

Spoiler: pizza is not delivered to everyone, even if you are a dedicated Jijia fan. The visualization on the site is not true. The most expensive offer on the menu disappointed us, and we found a competitor to the famous Four Cheese pizza.

Jizio left show business and went to pizza maker?

No. But, probably, Mikhail Khoma is a pizza maker at heart. After all, starting his own business that will feed his family is his dream. The artist admitted this on Instagram on October 1, when he presented the news about his own pizzeria.

I really love to cook, especially to feed my friends and loved ones! My dream is to feed everyone! And what could be tastier and more satisfying than everyone’s favorite pizza !?, – he wrote.

In a word, I wanted to – I did it. Now Jidzio feeds Ukrainians in 16 cities of Ukraine. Among them are Krivoy Rog, Odessa and Dnipro. The pizzeria only works in delivery format.

The news amazed not only Ukrainians, but also foreigners. Under the video with the news on YouTube, one of the users wrote that he regrets that he is not Ukrainian.

There are several similar comments from fans. Jijia fans 100% felt and understood the taste of pizza from different parts of the world even before testing. After all, they have additional meanings, but more on that later.

What did we order and did the pizzeria justify the time management?

The menu has 9 pizzas with prices ranging from 179 hryvnia to 279 hryvnia. We chose three pizzas: “Spider” for 179 hryvnias, “Syrrrrrr” for 220 hryvnias and the most expensive “Millionaire” for 279 hryvnias.

As you may have guessed after reading the first pizza name, Mikhail Khoma was inspired by his hit when choosing names for positions. In the menu you will also find “Weekend”.

For three pizzas paid 678 hryvnia, delivery was free. At 11:40 they made an order, they were supposed to deliver to us at 12:45. But the courier arrived earlier – at 12:17.

Delivered faster is a plus. But there is also a minus: we had to deliberately go to the nearby metro station (Exhibition Center), because the pizzeria does not deliver to the Teremki metro station.

Therefore, Jija’s dream of “feeding everyone” will still not come true. Indeed, in cold weather, fans who live near the terminal stations of the metro will not be delivered pizza to their homes.

Now let’s try pizza!

All three pizzas were hot when received.

Debut protested “Syrrrrrrr” for 220 hryvnia weighing 435 g.

In a word, Jidzio decided to surpass the traditional Italian “Four cheeses”. And he added 7 varieties of cheeses to his variation. In addition to the cream sauce, there was mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, feta, cheddar, dor blue, parmesan grana padano and cream cheese. How do you like that?

The pizza “Syrrrrrrr” had a maximum of cheese in chunks, and the dough was felt only on the sides. I was glad that the cheese did not fall out when eaten.

She was juicy: this is a story about maximum calories, for which it is not a pity. And most importantly, the visualization on the site corresponded to the real pizza.

Pear-flavored honey was also added to the pizza. It was not mentioned in the ingredient description when ordering.

Grade: 5/5.

By the way, two envelopes were also given to the order. They each contained four single-layer napkins and a pair of toothpicks. The third envelope was still missing.

Apparently, Jiji’s team for eco-lifestyle, therefore minimized the use of napkins. Or saves the business budget from the start?

Next we tried the Millionaire pizza

The name “Millionaire” speaks for itself. This is the most expensive seafood pizza on the site at UAH 279. Its weight is 495 g.

Pizza ingredients will surprise gourmets. Jizio put the maximum in it, even zucchini. There is mozzarella cheese, chilled salmon, mussels, squid, shrimp, flavored garlic and olive oil. And all in combination with a creamy sauce!

But not all that glitters is gold. And not all pizzas at the highest price are the best. “Millionaire” was not as tasty as “Syrrrrrrr”. It was insipid, it was necessary to add salt.

We tried the pizza salmon separately. It was tasteless, like the squid. The problem is with some of the ingredients that have minimized the delicious effect.

But the bland taste is not the only fakap. The pizza slices were difficult to handle as they were falling apart. What he saw was associated with food that was already traveling in the “Minibus”, and not Rolls-Royce with the “Millionaire”.

And unfortunately the coveted “Millionaire” did not look so perfect in reality, as on the website.

Finally – “Spider”

You are familiar with the name of the pizza if you listened to the hits of Mikhail Khoma. In a word, he visualized the song “Spider” into a pizza. Now sells it for 179 hryvnia weighing 490 grams.

It looks atypical, you must agree. And, moments, not appetizing. For the “spider web” of chili peppers on top of pizza is associated with spiders. The taste of this product also prompts the question “What am I eating?” But the fans will appreciate it. Other pizza ingredients are tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, salami, kalamata olives and caramelized onions.

In reality, the “Spider” did not look the same as on the website. The olives were small (cut in half), although in the photo they are large (whole).

And yet the pizza was delicious: sweetish due to caramelized onions and with minimal peppercorn. The lack of cheese didn’t make the pizza taste worse – it wasn’t dry.

The crunch of the crust was palpable when eaten. By the way, this is the calling card of Jizio pizza.
