He thus announced that he already has an idea on the continuation if he resumes his post for the next part of the adventures of 007.

Cary Fukunaga already knows where to go

According to his words, in an interview with Slashfilm and taken over by our colleagues of Screenrant, the director already has an idea in mind for the sequel to James Bond.

Obviously, he did not clearly explain what it is, but he assured “That by listening to everyone, what worked, what did not work, what they wanted, what they hoped for…”, he already has a base on which to start.

The whole point is whether the Broccoli are ready to work with him again. And that’s a big if. Indeed, the whole question will be how the sequel to James Bond will evolve after the Daniel Craig era.

Director hopes to return for next James Bond

If we look back at the history of the franchise, you surely know that Martin Campbell has found himself twice in a row behind shutters of James Bond with Goldeneye and Casino Royale. Same for Sam Mendes with Skyfall and Spectre.

There is therefore no reason why Cary Fukunaga should not be called upon to renew his contract if luck smiles on him. What’s more, when he already has something in store for the future.

Moreover, he expresses it well: “If they [les Broccoli] enjoyed working with me, and want me to come back so we can have this discussion at that time. ”
