Eva Longoria publicly expressed her support for Serena Williams in an interview people which was published on Thursday.
The 47-year-old spoke to the news outlet during Saturday’s Vote Like a Mother event in Miami and discussed the double standards women face when it comes to parenthood.

During the interview, Williams expressed that he felt it was unfair to have to explain his decision to leave the world of sports to the public.
“If I were a kid, I wouldn’t write this because I’d be playing and winning while my wife did the manual labor to raise our family,” he said.
Longoria agreed with the actress, noting that gender differences tend to bother women more than men.
The actor said: “You are absolutely right. If it had been another time, if the sex had changed, I wouldn’t have breastfed for years.’

The artist, who has a four-year-old son named Santiago, also said Williams faced many of the same challenges other parents faced.
She also emphasizes that she is no different from other mothers, [playing tennis professionally] It’s just his career,” he said.
Longoria went on to share her thoughts on the struggles of motherhood.

Longoria has a son with her husband, José Bastón, whom she married in 2016.
The actress was previously married to Tyler Christopher and Tony Parker.
Later, she started dating Baston whom she got engaged in 2015.
Now the parents got married the following year and 2018 welcomed Santiago into their lives.
Since then, the artist’s son has appeared in several photos shared on his Instagram account.
