Beyond the city lies a piece of forgotten history, a relic of a country’s past – and one of its inhabitants. Erik leads Marika to this enchanted place, a GDR-era Russian barracks that connects the biographies of two people. Otherwise, the two lonely souls actually have little in common. Erik, played by Charly Hübner, works as a security guard, the nightly tours with his guard dog also lead him to a playground near a hostel for refugees, where he secretly watches a young woman on the swing.
