“One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to say to my fans”: Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne finally cancels his European tour

After several postponements, British rock star Ozzy Osbourne has finally canceled his tour of Great Britain and the European continent planned for this year due to health reasons.

“It has become clear to me that I am physically unable to meet the upcoming tour dates because I would not be able to make the necessary trips,” the 74-year-old heavy metal legend said on Twitter on Wednesday.

“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to say to my loyal fans,” affirmed the former Black Sabbath frontman. But since a fall four years ago at his home in Los Angeles, he is still suffering from the damage he sustained to his spine at the time.

“My singing voice is fine,” Osbourne pointed out. After three operations and numerous, sometimes “innovative” therapies, he was still physically weak.

“I never thought my touring days would end like this,” added the musician. He thanked his fans for giving him a life he never dreamed of. His team is now working on new ideas on how he can appear in the future without having to “travel from city to city and from country to country”.

Osbourne’s tour had been canceled several times due to his health problems and the corona pandemic. In May he should have performed in Dortmund, Munich, Hamburg, Mannheim and Berlin. Admission will be refunded according to the notice of sales locations. (AFP)
