(ANSA) – ROME, OCTOBER 28 – ELENA FERRANTE, THE MARGINS AND THE DETAILS (and / or, PP 160, EURO 15). Elena Ferrante, the mysterious writer, calls us to rally against “the bad language”, historically extraneous to the truths of women, and proposes a choral fusion of female talents in four texts on others and on their own adventure of writing, collected in the book ‘I margins and the dictation ‘which comes out on November 17th for Edizioni E / O. There are three lectures for the citizens of Bologna on the occasion of the Umberto Eco Lectures to be held starting from November 17, 2021, and an essay composed for the closing of the conference of Italianists on Dante and other classics.
The volume arrives in Italian bookstores on the same day in which ‘The writing smarginata – Le Umberto Eco Lectures by Elena Ferrante’ is staged, presented to the public for the first time, to which the actress Manuela Mandracchia gives voice and body at the Arena Theater del Sole, in Bologna, until November 19, at 8.30 pm, in the Sala Leo de Berardinis.
It is a cycle of three lessons to listen to a beloved figure of contemporary Italian literature in three different texts ‘La pena e lapen’ (17 November) ‘Acquamarina’ (18 November), ‘Storie, io’ (19 November), produced from the International Center for Humanistic Studies ‘Umberto Eco’ of the University of Bologna ERT / Teatro Nazionale, in collaboration with Edizioni E / O, which will also be live streaming on the Facebook profiles of ERT, Teatro Arena del Sole, Unibo and Edizioni E / O and on YouTube by ERT and Unibo.
The lessons allow you to finally listen to Elena Ferrante, and not just to read her, they show a possible theatrical incarnation that, respecting her request for discretion, puts her on stage as an author.
