Thanks to the depth and talent of Bella Ramsey, I feel like she raised the bar. That she brought a lot more to Ellie than what we were able to do in the games. There were so many moments and scenes where Ellie said things that I didn’t get a chance to say. Where she was able to defend herself and oppose Joel, the others. It was cathartic. I am very happy to see Ellie grow up and have a say in her life.
No one else could have played this role. I watched the last episode and she’s so talented, she blew me away. This is gonna sound weird but I’m proud of her. I feel close. I think it’s because we both love Ellie. There’s so much about her that’s about Ellie. I got very close to Bella Ramsey and I’m amazed by what she did. She’s an incredible actress.
