Cinema: the Parma film festival returns from 6 November

(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, 02 NOV – Six great previews, the cult actor of a generation who played Stefano Cucchi (but also the tough guy from “Suburra”), the master of light capable of winning three Oscars, the prodigal son adored by Tarantino who returns to take the embrace of his city: this – and much more – at the Parma Film Festival 2021 which turns on the spotlight from 6 to 14 November. The 24th edition of “Invenzioni dal Vero-Parma Film festival”, organized by the Municipality of Parma-Department of Culture and the “Stanley Kubrick” Cinema Club, is back, with the support of the Emilia Romagna Region-ER Film Commission, the support of the University of Parma and the contribution of the Monteparma Foundation, Chiesi and Bper Banca.

Among the protagonists of this edition are actors such as Alessandro Borghi, one of the great names of our contemporary cinema, who will receive the Schiaretti prize, Franco Nero (with his latest film “Havana Kyrie”), Alessandro Haber (who will present his autobiography in Parma , “I wanted to be Marlon Brando”), director of photography Vittorio Storaro, directors such as Antonietta De Lillo and Juho Kuosmanen. The 42-year-old Finnish filmmaker, who won the Grand Prix in Cannes in July, will present a preview of her film “Compartimento n ° 6”, a road movie that celebrates the brief encounter between a Finnish student and a young Russian, both on their way to the borders of the world.

It is one of the great films that make up the ambitious program of the Parma Film Festival 2021 together with “The choice of Anne”, the Golden Lion of Venice, “Un autre monde”, which will be presented by Stefano Jacono and Massimiliano Cadeddu of Movies Inspired which distributes it in Italy, and “Lost Illusions” where Xavier Giannoli makes Balzac’s masterpiece contemporary and urgent.
