Tff: the official image, a tear to return to the cinema

(ANSA) – TURIN, 03 NOV – A poster torn on a city wall tells the cinema of the past, present and future and becomes an invitation to the Torino Film Festival full of enthusiasm for returning to the theater. The image of the 39th Turin Film Festival is an art-work of urban graphics written with plasticine and created with collage, décollage and digital collage.

A tear, a rapid movement, a shock, an emotion, a glimpse into a future to be rethought and re-imagined.

In a cinema hall, spectators watch the film of an imaginary Turin, populated with objects and animals, figures from the cinema, on the set, dancing or cycling. The characters that crowd the screen recount 100 or more years of cinema, from silent to contemporary, cross genres and sister arts, paying homage to Jean-Paul Belmondo, a symbolic actor of the Nouvelle Vague, who recently passed away. But above all they tell the story of 39 years of the Turin Film Festival, the partnership with the National Cinema Museum and the strong bond that Turin has with cinema since its inception (ANSA).
