# ioleggoperché, the sixth edition starts on November 20

(ANSA) – ROME, NOVEMBER 18 – The engines for # Ioleggoperché are started: the sixth edition of the event that brings books to school libraries throughout Italy kicks off on Saturday 20 November. “Let’s start from the books!” is the invitation that schools, bookstores, authors, TV personalities, and passionate readers will launch to donate a book to a school, until November 28th. The whole world of books, culture and entertainment is mobilized, with visits to the bookstore by Ricardo Franco Levi, president of the Italian Publishers Association; Renata Gorgani vice-president of the Various Group of the Italian Publishers Association and member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Book and Reading; Rudy Zerbi, ambassador of the initiative and Filippo Solibello, journalist of Radio Rai 2, the official radio of the initiative.

Authors and publishers, the entire community and all supporters of # ioleggoperché and Libriamoci, the campaign of the Center for books and reading that ends on Saturday 20 November, in an ideal passing of the baton, will spread the invitation to go to the libraries, using the same shared image (graphics for social media and all materials for schools can be downloaded from the site). There are 20,388 schools involved and 2,743 libraries throughout the Italian territory where it will be possible to donate, half of which have also activated remote donation methods. Massive participation in the # ioleggoperché contest. And on Saturday 20, Sunday 21 and Monday 22 November the Lega Serie A captains will take the field with a book and exchange it in front of the banners of # ioleggoperché. Lega Serie B footballers will promote donations among their fans with video messages on social profiles. The four major television broadcasters will broadcast in the social spaces – during this and next week – the new commercial of # ioleggoperché, also broadcast in the institutional spaces of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on Rai networks. In a passage of the November 25 episode of “Un posto al sole”, the historic Rai 3 television series, there will be an exhortation to go to the bookshop pronounced by the protagonists at Caffè Vulcano, the meeting place of the series. The event is a project of the AIE and is carried out with the support of the Ministry for Culture – General Directorate for Libraries and Copyright and the Center for Book and Reading, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and with the patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
