Benetton launches United Colors of Ghali drop n.2

(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 25 – United Colors of Benetton launches the second drop of United Colors of Ghali, the capsule signed by the Italian artist of Tunisian origins and presented last September during the Milan fashion week.

Announced in spring 2021, the collaboration between Benetton and Ghali aims to be a meeting on shared values such as creativity and integration. After six months of heterogeneous activities – including a big party in Milan during Fashion Week and a presentation tour that crossed the Italian suburbs – the partnership reaches its climax with the presentation of the second drop of the capsule collection.

The style is in continuity with the rest of the capsule collection: street wear pieces with an over cut and relaxed fit, which mix references to Ghali’s biographical and cultural universe with an original use of Benetton symbols and colors. “I wanted to make a real collection, which I could wear every day” commented Ghali in the September presentation. “I designed it for my fans, for those who listen to me, for those who live this country and the streets”.

The second drop contains a two-piece jacket, down jacket underneath and waterproof jacket on top, with passport pocket and graphics that refer to the world of the Benetton Formula 1 team. A jogger, pants, pajamas also recall the concept of travel. a nylon shirt and a hooded sweatshirt: all wear a print that reproduces a galaxy with a green background sprinkled with stars and planets. The American college aesthetic that had characterized the Welcome to the Grand Boulevard limited edition varsity jacket, launched by Ghali before the summer, also returns. This time the Ivy League style is evident in a V-neck sweater, with the G of Ghali on the heart, an element that also distinguishes socks, caps and slippers. There are also pajamas and boxers, as well as t-shirts and sweatshirts that complete the range of the first drop. Finally, some kid and baby clothes, which introduce colored prints. (HANDLE).
