Giffoni Jazz Festival with tribute to Mina

(ANSA) – NAPLES, 30 NOV – Great jazz returns to Campania with the third edition of the Giffoni Jazz Festival from 3 to 9 December between the National Archaeological Museum of Pontecagnano (Sa) and the Medieval Village of Terravecchia in Giffoni Valle Piana (Sa ). Fifteen concerts, among others: Danilo Rea, Alfredo Golino, Javier Girotto, Elio Coppola, Helen Tesfazghi and Blue Channel, six exclusive album presentations, and many events all with free admission with reservations required on the Eventbrite.it portal. will be Walter Ricci feat S. & G. Collective, Virginia Sorrentino & Ciro Caravano 4et, Mario Rosini 5et, the Salerno Trio, the very young Brazilian sisters Blue Channel, Gennaro Ferraro 4et, Enzo Anastasio and Federico Luongo Project, Gabriella Di Capua, Helen Tesfazghi & Elio Coppola with special guest the saxophonist Daniele Scannapieco, the Illogic Trio, Trio Malinconico, Igor Caiazza with the Argentine Javier Girotto, the Casanova Swing Band guest Stefano Giuliano, the Travel SC and in closing the trio headliner of the event: Danilo Rea (piano), Massimo Moriconi (double bass) and Alfredo Golino (drums) in a tribute to Mina that comes from the recording project “TRE per UNA” where the three musicians re they write the classics of the “Tigre di Cremona” in a jazz key.

The festival is organized by the DeArt Progetti Association, with the artistic direction of Annamaria Fortuna, the support of the Entertainment Directorate of the Ministry of Culture and the patronage of the Campania Region, the Municipality of Giffoni Valle Piana, the Municipality of Pontecagnano Faiano, the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio Salernitana (CARISAL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture General Direction of Campania Museums and the National Archaeological Museum of Pontecagnano “Gli Etruschi di Frontiera”.
