Music: violinist Anna Tifu in Modena, Sulmona and Genoa

(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, 07 DEC – One of the most appreciated Italian virtuosos of the violin, Anna Tifu, will be at the Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni in Modena on December 9 at 20.30 together with the Kharkiv Symphony Orchestra. The program will allow the thirty-five year old artist from Cagliari, winner of the George Enescu International Competition in 2007, to show her virtuosity with pieces from European national schools between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: the Poème Op. 25 by Ernest Chausson, the Tzigane Op. 76 by Maurice Ravel, the Gypsy Op. 20 by Pablo de Sarasate.

Refined interpreter and appreciated all over the world, Anna Tifu made her debut very young: at the age of 12 she performed the Bruch Violin Concerto at the Scala in Milan and at the age of 14 she won first prize at the Viotti Competition. In the second part of the evening the Kharkiv Symphony Orchestra, which for Covid-related reasons replaces the announced Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform the Czech Suite Op. 39 by Antonin Dvorak and the Symphony No. 1 Op. 25 “Classica” by Sergej Prokofiev. The concert will be conducted by Yuriy Yanko, principal conductor of the Kharkiv orchestra since 2004.

The same interpreters with the same program will play on December 12 at the Maria Caniglia Municipal Theater in Sulmona and on December 13 at the Carlo Felice Theater in Genoa for the concert season of the Giovine Genovese Orchestra. (HANDLE).
