(ANSA) – GENOA, 10 DEC – The 2021 edition of the LericiPea ‘Liguri nel Mondo’ award went to photographer Mario Cresci.
The award “thus pays homage to an undisputed ‘ambassador of the Ligurian genius’, now 78 years old, who for more than half a century, through his photographic images and his relentless artistic research, has been an international point of reference in the field of Visual Arts and teacher for every future generation “.
Mario Cresci (Chiavari, 1942) has been the author, since the seventies, of eclectic works characterized by a freedom of research that crosses drawing, photography, video, installation, site specific. He is among the first authors in Italy to apply the culture of design by combining it with an experimentation on visual languages. The prize will be awarded on Monday 13 December in the Cristoforo Colombo Room of the Liguria Region. (HANDLE).
