Cinema: Porretta, awarded ‘Fortuna’ and ‘La santa piccola’

(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, 11 DEC – The awarding of the prizes of the ‘Fuori dal giro’ competition, assigned by the jury of young people to ‘Fortuna’ by Nicolangelo Gelormini and by the public to ‘La santa piccola’ by Silvia Brunelli, two films united by a very special childhood tale, concluded the 20th edition of the Porretta Terme Film Festival, on the Bolognese Apennines.

The awards dedicated to Elio Petri, on the fiftieth anniversary of ‘The working class goes to heaven’, have also been awarded, and have already been made known: the one for the film to ‘The giants’ by Bonifacio Angius and the one for the Career to the Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón. Among the prizes awarded in this edition, there is also the career award to Gianni Amelio, to whom the monographic review that accompanied the festival was dedicated. With over 50 overall screenings, 15,000 hours of content displayed on the platform, important collaborations (Cineteca di Bologna, Rai Teche, Mompracem Produzioni, ArsMedia Production, Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso Transeuropa, Cineteca Nazionale), “the Porretta Film Festival is confirmed as a an essential appointment for the promotion of independent and top quality cinema “, comments the director Luca Elmi.
