(ANSA) – ASSISI (PERUGIA), 13 DEC – The 39th edition of “Primo Piano sull’Author-Festival Pianeta Donna” is underway in Perugia – last Friday the inauguration on the theme “Woman in Cinema: from seduction to awareness “, a film festival directed and created by Franco Mariotti, which will continue over the next two weeks, on Tuesday 14, Friday 17, Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 December.
Twenty-nine works in total – seven films, 13 short films (including two music videos) and seven documentaries – are competing in their respective categories. There will also be a film homage to the godmother of this edition, Barbara Bouchet, and another homage to Giuliana Gamba.
The works presented in five days of programming will be available free of charge in Perugia at the Sant’Angelo Municipal Cinema, where the Festival is back in attendance.
The event – explain the promoters – will pay a “dutiful and careful tribute to the great masters behind the camera and to divas immortalized by it”.
The short, by Caterina Ponti, which opened this year’s edition, is “Il Cantico delle Creature” by San Francesco d’Assisi presented for the first time ever in an unpublished version, an original edition in which the poetic praise & prayer of the patron saint of Italy is recited in the Sardinian language.
