On December 16, 1991, the writer Pier Vittorio Tondelli left just over 36 years old.
Thirty years later, on December 16, 2021, Rimini will pay tribute to the author of the bestseller ‘Rimini’ with the ‘Tondelli 30’ initiative. The Municipality, in collaboration with the cultural association Interno4, will dedicate the video mapping of the tower of Castel Sismondo, the back and side of the Galli Theater and the ledwall of the Fulgor building to the great Emilian writer who set his most important novel.
Throughout the day, extracts from the book will scroll along the facades of these symbolic buildings accompanied by images inspired by the music playlist that the author has inserted at the end of the final chapter.
Tondelli, the municipal administration recalls, “put the city of Rimini and the Romagna Riviera on paper, theorising the universality of destinies, places and the ephemeral in the Eighties”. The author “dug into the complexity, into the bowels of the oleographic ‘holiday capital’, all families and all-inclusive pensions on the one hand, and of the dark entertainment factory on the other, highlighting its grays and the inextricable tangle of opposites, transforming it in the mirror of the vices and collective virtues of the time “.
