Diana Krall returns to Italy, at the Vittoriale Amphitheater

The album sees Diana Krall in a quartet with colleagues with whom she has collaborated for years, John Clayton, Jeff Hamilton and Anthony Wilson in “Almost Like Being In Love” and “That’s All”, as well as in a trio with Christian McBride and Russell Malone. in “Autumn in New York” and “There’s No You.” The duets include a stunning first-take of “I Wished On The Moon” with Krall and John Clayton and two recordings – “More Than You Know” and “Don’t Smoke In Bed” – in which Alan Broadbent is at the piano stool. , also author of the orchestration for “But Beautiful” as well as the string arrangement on “Autumn In New York.” The last recording session for this album took place at Capitol Studios, with an ensemble featuring guitarist Marc Ribot, Stuart Duncan’s violin and a rhythm section composed of Tony Garnier on double bass and Karriem Riggins on drums.
