Reggia Venaria, with new president looks to the US model

(ANSA) – TURIN, 13 DEC – With the arrival of the new president of the Consortium of the Savoy Residences Michele Briamonte, the Reggia di Venaria is preparing for a major change: making the immense value of the structure income by attracting private investment capital.

The model, completely new in the management of cultural heritage in Italy, looks above all to the USA, where it is not unusual for investors to take an interest in the culture sector. But the condition for doing so is to identify ways in which the financial capital thus invested can be remunerated.

“We must make the Palace – explains the new president to ANSA – capable of attracting non-patronage investments.

There is a great deal of liquidity around and we do not lack attractiveness and the ability to build financial engineering. But it is essential that the capital we intend to attract achieves their correct remuneration “.

The cultural projects made up of exhibitions, conferences, conferences and studies, curated by the director of the Reggia Guido Curto, will therefore be accompanied by a new activity that could range from commercial agreements to interventions on digitization, up to the idea of exploiting large spaces for hospitality. not used of the residence. All without neglecting the visitor front: 130,000 in the pandemic year marked by the closures that are about to end, at least 250,000 a year in the intentions of the director and president of the most famous Piedmontese Savoy residence.
