‘5 minutes before’, last takes for Chiarini’s teen dramedy

(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 16 – Filming of the new teen-dramedy TV series “5 minutes earlier”, directed by Duccio Chiarini and produced by Panamafilm in collaboration with Rai Fiction, with the contribution of POR FESR Piemonte 2014, will end on December 23 ‐2020 and the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte. The story, set in Turin today, follows the events of the sixteen-year-old Nina and her group of friends, struggling with sex, love, friendship, the construction of her own identity, retracing the dynamics that make life adolescence the most powerful and explosive moment of our lives. The first love. The first goodbye. The first important choice.

The first time: these are the themes that are constantly the background and leitmotiv of the young protagonists who make up the cast, starting with Tecla Insolia (winner of Sanremo Young 2019 and interpreter of Nada in the Rai TV movie The girl who did not want to sing) in the role of Nina and the young Ludovica Ciaschetti, Isnaba Na Monthce, Simone Fumagalli, Edoardo Pagliai, Sonia Caretto, Laura Martinelli, Sara Lughi. A cast that is completed by the actors who play the role of “adults”, Francesco Siciliano, Alessandro Garbin, Valentina Carnelutti, Alberto Barbi, together with numerous roles entrusted to the Piedmontese Tatiana Lepore, Sara Lughi, Olivia Manescalchi, Max Liotta to name a few. Entirely created in Turin for 8 weeks, the series used various city locations including the Gioberti classical high school, the Albe Steiner Institute, the ITC – International Training Center of the ILO, the Parco Dora skatepark, the Circolo Canottieri Armida, the Lumiq Studios (where the hospital was rebuilt) the Little Nemo Art Gallery, Murazzi, the Parco del Valentino, the Monte dei Cappuccini.

The project – which will develop over 8 episodes – has been able to count on a troupe of 60 professionals of 45 local workers, including the organizer Andrea Tavani, the production manager Rossella Tarantino, the location manager Cristina Vecchio, the set designer Mario Scarzella, the costume designer Silvia Nebiolo.
