(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, 15 DEC – On 19 December at 4 pm the “Virtual Museum of the Bolognese Puppet” opens: an event broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Burattini association in Bologna, in which the famous Doctor Balanzone will be the guide. The Virtual Museum of the Bolognese Puppet will be online with virtual tours directly from the site from burattiniabologna.it. The tour is based on objects and images from private collections, including those of Riccardo’s puppets and the Peretti Poggi collection which shows the figure of the artist Wolfango also as a passionate lover of Bolognese puppet theater and Commedia dell’Arte. “By accessing from the computer or smartphone – explained the puppeteer and curator Riccardo Pazzaglia at the presentation of the project – the virtual tour begins in Piazza Maggiore and then moves on to the Voltone del Podestà, a place linked to the ancient history of the Bolognese puppet, where The entrance door to the museum has been placed. In each room there are icons that highlight points of interest that allow the opening of in-depth information sheets of the individual works, with an entire room dedicated to the mask of Bologna: the ‘Domus Balanzone’. Visitors can also have fun browsing in some trunks scattered in the virtual rooms to discover the ‘hidden treasures’ of the puppeteers and locate mysterious objects that will be revealed in the theater room at the end of the tour.
