Cramum 2022 Award for 10 artists under 40

(ANSA) – MILAN, 15 DEC – A fall “up”, to rediscover new certainties and start over from art, following the suggestions of a great author of literature: the theme is an invitation to reflect on “The Fall” by Camus chosen for the Cramum Prize for young artists, the ninth edition of which will take place in Milan from 10 to 17 September 2022. Until April 13, the call will remain open which will allow 10 finalist artists under 40 not only to try to win the coveted award – a path of publications and exhibitions that will end with the possibility of creating a site-specific exhibition at the Francesco Messina Studio Museum in Milan, historical main partner of the Prize – but also to see their works exhibited alongside 10 artists internationally renowned. This year the 10 artists invited out of competition are: Letizia Cariello, Stefano Cescon (previous edition Cramum prize winner), Park Eun Sun (Korea), Franco Fontana, Franco Guerzoni, Peggy Kliafa (Greece), HH Lim (China), Franco Mazzucchelli, Fulvio Morella and Luca Pignatelli. “In recent years, the ground on which we walked, the certainties and the points of reference have seemed to fail. Art can only reflect on this theme and therefore the new edition of the Cramum Prize will be dedicated to the critical re-reading of the novel by Albert Camus : The Fall. What does it mean to fall? And if we manage to fall high? “, Explained the director of the Prize, Sabino Maria Frassà. To compose the jury that will decide the finalists, in addition to the artists out of competition, also journalists, collectors, gallery owners and experts in the sector.
