The man with a flower in his mouth, a film by Lavia on RaiPlay

– “The man with a flower in his mouth”, the film written and directed by Gabriele Lavia and produced by Manuela Cacciamani for One More Pictures with Rai Cinema, will be available from December 30th as an exclusive premiere on RaiPlay. The work is taken from the short stories of Luigi Pirandello and was presented in the official competition at the 39th edition of the Torino Film Festival. The film is written and directed by Gabriele Lavia and stars Gabriele Lavia, Michele De Maria and Rosa Palasciano.
The story is set in a train station. Huge, unreal. – Gabriele Lavia explains – In a gigantic, dirty and deserted “waiting room”. Just two tiny men.
One full of life, of commitments: his wife, children, work, dreams, hopes, fears, anxieties. The other, now condemned to death by an incurable disease, listens with morbid curiosity to the story of the small life of the “little” man in order to grasp his absolute absence of meaning, the stupidity of his illusions, the insulting nature of his occupations and useless commitments of life >>.
