Ariaferma and Drive my car best films for critics

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 30 DEC – Also in 2022, as by now tradition, the collaboration between the Trieste Film Festival (the 33rd edition from 21 to 30 January) and the National Union of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI) is renewed, which chose the opening ceremony of the festival to award the best titles released in theaters in 2021. Two awards, to the best Italian film and to the best international film: among the Italians, to “establish itself” as the most voted in the referendum promoted by Syndicated among all its members was ARIAFERMA di Leonardo Di Costanzo. DRIVE MY CAR by Ryûsuke Hamaguchi is, on the other hand, the best film ever among all those distributed in cinemas in our country. In this case, the commission responsible for reporting the Critics’ Films (14 titles selected this year) voted, composed of Massimo Causo, Adriano De Grandis, Francesco Di Pace, Simone Emiliani, Fabio Ferzetti, Beatrice Fiorentino, Federico Gironi , Roberto Manassero, Raffaele Meale, Paolo Mereghetti, Giona A. Nazzaro, Anna Maria Pasetti and Giulio Sangiorgio. Born on the eve of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Trieste Film Festival is the first and most important Italian appointment with the cinema of Central Eastern Europe: for thirty years it has been a privileged observatory on films and often little-known – if not even unknown authors. – to the Italian public, and more generally to the “Western” public.
