(ANSA) – NEW YORK, DEC 30 – Måneskin are the new favorite rock band of Americans. The Los Angeles Times writes it in a long profile dedicated to the four Italian artists.
According to the West Coast newspaper, the band, which debuted in Los Angeles last November with a sold out concert at Roxy, the nightclub on which Elton John, Neil Young, Bob Marley performed, among others, are an anomaly in the current music landscape where rap and pop mostly predominate. Måneskin instead have imposed themselves with a type of music that recalls the rock of the 70s and with a David Bowie style.
Even the first scandal at the Eurovision Song Contest, with some images costing Damiano the accusation of having ‘sniffed’ during the live TV of the final – a hypothesis later officially denied by the same organization after the singer’s drug test – they taste retro. Måneskin will return to California on January 15th to perform at iHeartRadio’s ALTer Ego rock festival in Inglewood, on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Also in the line up are Billie Eilish, Muse, Mumford & Sons, Cage the Elephant, The National, Foo Fighters.
