(ANSA) – TURIN, 31 DEC – There were almost 173 thousand visitors to the Venaria Reale in 2021 in 237 total days of opening due to the limitations for the health emergency.

The positive trend compared to last year is also confirmed by the long weekend of the Christmas holidays: from 26 December to today, 5,922 visitors have been totaled, also thanks to the evening openings of this period.

Christmas evenings continue until Epiphany: up to 9 pm on weekdays and up to 10 pm on weekends and holidays, it is possible to visit the imposing Court of Honor with Mario Merz’s Igloo, the Galleria Grande masterpiece del Juvarra, the Rondò Alfieriano and the Chapel of Sant’Uberto with the historic King’s Nativity scene set up for the occasion, together with the animations and musical moments curated by the Via Maestra Foundation and the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Turin. The evening entrance to the Noble Floor (from the Galleria Grande to the Chapel of Sant’Uberto) is provided with a special discounted rate of 5 euros (1 euro for children aged 6 to 18).

The Royal Palace with the exhibition An infinite beauty. The Landscape in Italy from romantic painting to contemporary art can always be visited until 9 January, to then resume at the usual times. For more information: www.lavenaria.it (ANSA).
