Brooklyn Beckham shares more details of her ’embarrassing’ proposal to Nicola Peltz

On Monday night, Brooklyn Beckham appeared on The Late Late Show to promote her cooking career, though she was barely known beyond her parents’ visit.

The 22-year-old superstar’s descendants caught up with James Corden on the hit US show, a space usually reserved for respected stars who have his talent, during which he showcased his often ridiculous cooking skills.

David and Victoria Beckham’s son shared details of his proposal with Nicola Pelz and offered to challenge the host chef, four months after he was fiercely mocked for his appearance on The Today Show, where he made a sandwich.

Mom and Dad…thanks! Brooklyn Beckham appeared on The Late Late Show on Monday night, although she had no news beyond her parents’ visit.

Brooklyn is the oldest child of the Beckhams, who are also parents to Romeo, 19, Cruz, 16, and their only child, Harper, 10.

On the show, he wanted to showcase his cooking skills when he trained James to cook with a duo who cooked potato chips with peas on the floor.

When James asked who was his family’s harshest critic about his food, he said it was his son and Harper. He said: “He is the funniest person in the world. He is always strict with my food.”

Brooklyn added that even if you like the food, you ask for a little more salt or pepper, something that is often perceived as insignificant by the chef.

He added that he will prepare his girlfriend Nicolás on Valentine’s Day, but he has not yet planned the meal because it will be “whatever he wants”.

The appearance came after Brooklyn was plunged into a raging cooking craze, after viewers teased viewers today by appearing in a simple cooking segment, during which he simply “ticked a sandwich” in October.

During the visit, he shared a “recipe” for an English breakfast sandwich, a dish he “learned from his great-grandmother”.

He explained that he developed a passion for cooking during the lockdown, during which he began posting videos of various dishes being prepared on Instagram while making the sandwich, missing hosts Hoda Cottby and Carson Dali.

But before Today day Presenters were quick to praise their simple creations, audiences were indifferent that they had decided to present such an easy-to-prepare dish, and many called the clip “weird” and “painful”.

At the beginning of the segment, Brooklyn was seen telling the audience about Father David’s love of food, before lyrically expressing his “favorite” cast-iron skillet, which was already filled with pre-cooked sausages and plates of bacon.

He added that his love of cooking started during the quarantine when he started posting videos of various dishes being prepared on his Instagram account.

Brooklyn then started making ingredients for sandwiches, and this is where the online taunts from viewers began, with social media users blasting it all, starting with their hatred of “sour eggs” and ending with their lack of butter on bread.

Elsewhere in a conversation with James, Brooklyn opened up about her engagement to Nicholas, admitting that she had experienced a “strange” problem.

The chef proposed to Nicholas, 27, in July 2020 in Bedford, New York, in a small white cabin, admitting that not everything went according to plan.

He revealed that he filled it with fizzy flowers, candles, his favorite wine and caviar, but admitted: “I couldn’t open the wine, which was very embarrassing.

After 10 minutes I finally opened it and poured the cup, then got down on my knees. He didn’t know what he was doing.

James joked that because of Brooklyn’s grand gesture it would definitely make sense, insisting that Nicholas was treated like that “always”.

He continued, “I got down on my knees and started to say how much I love him, and it lasted about five minutes, then I took a step back and took the ring.

I opened it and said “will you marry me because I want to be with you all my life and you are my best friend and he started crying”.

Brooklyn said she didn’t respond to another “distress” for five minutes while crying.

He admitted that he was thinking about copying Father David’s wings tattoo on his back, but decided to do something different and put it on Nicholas’ eyes.

“My fiancé has beautiful eyes, so I thought, why not?” she said, adding that she also loved the tattoos from a love letter sent by Nicholas.

The tattoo reads: “My eternal boyfriend reads this every time you are worried. I want you to know how much I love you. You have the kindest heart I have ever known and I hope I never live a day without your love.

“I think you’re so amazing, I just know we’ll get through everything together if you breathe slowly and trust. I love you beyond. Always love your future wife.
