Covid: Gimbe, in Vda 248 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants

(ANSA) – AOSTA, 25 NOV – In the week from 17 to 23 November in Valle d’Aosta there is a deteriorating performance for currently positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants (354) and there is an increase in new cases (124.3 %) compared to the previous week. The beds in the medical area (12%) and in intensive care (3%) occupied by Covid-19 patients remain below the saturation threshold. The new positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants were 248. This is what we read in the weekly monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation. “When the incidence exceeds 150 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants – comments Nino Cartabellotta, Gimbe president – the administrators must decide on any targeted restrictions to stem the spread”.

On the vaccination front, 72.6% of the population has completed the vaccination cycle for Covid-19 (national average 76.7%) to which must be added a further 2.2% (2.5%) who received only the first dose. The vaccination coverage rate with booster dose is 32.7% (Italy average 29.1%), the vaccination coverage rate with additional dose is 6.7% (85.3%).
