They are 240 caregivers from metropolitan France starting this Tuesday for Guadeloupe or Martinique in order to support their overseas counterparts. These staff who come from all over France have indeed responded to the call launched Sunday by the Minister of Health Olivier Véran, while the situation is deteriorating overseas. The authorities in particular strengthened the containment measures in Martinique on Monday, an island in the grip of a severe rebound in the Covid-19 epidemic.
Two specially chartered planes will therefore take off from Paris this Tuesday at the end of the day with resuscitators, anesthetists, nurses, health executives, but also nursing assistants and emergency physicians on board. Among these professionals, some come from the public sector and others from the private sector. About sixty of them work in Ile-de-France and around thirty in the Grand-Est.
