The new social network of the former president of the United States of America, Donald Trumpshould be launched on Monday (21), also the day of presidents in the country, according to Reuters.
Truth Social went live last week, still in the testing phase, to about 500 beta-testing users, according to the American press.
The social network, available for pre-order on Apple’s App Store, was announced by the former president in October 2021 and will be launched by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the entrepreneur’s new media and technology venture.
In order to replace Twitter, in announcing Truth Social, Trump promised a “censorship-free” experience to users in order to “stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech”.
The launch of the platform marks Donald Trump’s return to social media. The former president was banned from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube last year following the January 6 Capitol raid incidents.
