Bitcoin X Bonds

Before commenting on his net portfolio, the Mexican billionaire made negative comments about government bonds.

The remarks made by Salinas Pliego take place shortly after public bonds increased in sales, after the Federal Reserve (the US Central Bank) and other Central Banks have raised interest rates and tightened monetary policies to try to contain inflation.

“Investing in government bonds is a terrible investment,” said Salinas Pliego. “It wouldn’t come close to a title. It’s just the worst thing. The best thing is, you get your $100 back. That’s the best thing that can happen,” he added.

According to Decrypt, Salinas Pliego is not the only Mexican who expressed excitement about cryptocurrency at the conference. Pro-bitcoin Mexican senator Indira Kempis said at the event that she will propose to make bitcoin a legal tender in the country.
