IRB (IRBR3): Second director resigns in less than a week

the counselor of IRB (IRBR3) André Marcelo da Silva Prado resigned from his position, according to a document sent to the market this Friday (13).

In the communiqué, the IRB thanked Prado for his professionalism and dedication during the period in which he served on the company’s board of directors.

At the beginning of the week, Regina Helena Jorge Nunes also resigned. she was a member independent of the council. Nunes has been in office since May 2020.

Nunes is part of the board of directors independently of other companies, such as sky (CIEL3) and Iberdola.

IRB results

THE IRB releases its quarterly results next Monday.

To the greatthe company should have poor results. According to SUSEP data, the IRB presented a loss of R$ 47m in January and February. The results were impacted by the still high loss ratio.

“We are still not very optimistic about the IRB for 2022. Among the reasons are: (i) constant consumption of capital and the need for new investments; (ii) continuity of the impacts of discontinued contracts (tail effect); (iii) uncertainty regarding the long-term ROE (return on equity); and (iv) pressure on rural insurance claims”, he states.
