Elongate, a coin that seeks “social impact”
While it sounds like a “harmless” pun, the billionaire boasts a track record of valuing, purposefully or not, cryptocurrencies strangers, or memes, just commenting on something on their social networks, and this time was no different.
The cryptocurrency, however, was created on July 23, 2021, and does not appear to be related to Tesla’s CEO.
However, in the CoinMarketCap website chat, many users who started trading in the last few hours relate Musk’s tweet to the project, probably in order to “sell” this idea.
Cryptocurrency “Elongate” recorded a 57% appreciation shortly after the tweet of the richest man in the world. Trading volume has gone up by 23,864.19% in the daily variation.

“A 10% transaction fee rewards cardholders and donates significant amounts to philanthropic activities. The ELONGATE team is building a social impact ecosystem to revolutionize social impact on blockchain.”
Elongate’s market capitalization is 11,115,921.36 and there are already 475,627,976,172,486 coins in circulation, according to CoinMarketCap.
