THE Empiricus Investments updated its recommended wallet for the last week of September. After overcoming the Ibovespathe portfolio gained a new share, with Arezzo (ARZZ3) entering the place of PRIOR (PRIOR3), also known as PetroRio.
Filipe Fradinho, responsible for the weekly portfolio at Empiricus Investimentos, explains that, since the definition of the previous portfolio, Arezzo has been on his radar. Now, the analyst has decided to make the retailer’s participation in the portfolio official, since the asset “operates above all averages, which, in turn, point upwards, with the shorter ones above the longer ones guaranteeing the entry because they are regular highs and without great elastic movements”.
Fradinho’s weekly portfolio still has BB Security (BBSE3), Energies from Brazil (ENBR3), Fleury (FLRY3) and Positive (POSI3).

Empiricus Investimentos’ portfolio surpassed the Ibovespa last week with a return of 4.06%, compared to a 2.23% increase in the benchmark index.
The highlights were Energias do Brasil and Fleury, which gained more than 7% in the week.
Despite global caution after the US central bank raised the country’s interest rates by 0.75 percentage point, the Ibovespa hit an important mark of renewal of maximums since April, highlights Fradinho.
“It can be understood as a sign of strength in our market. In the global scenario, the monetary authorities have raised their tone in the fight against inflation, and the cost of this is that of falling stock markets and weaker economic activity”, he comments.
According to Fradinho, the break of 115,000 points could take the Ibovespa to 120,000 points in a short time.
“In the worst-case scenario and with an eye on the geopolitical situation between Russia and Ukraine, record global inflation and the most evident economic recession, we must be aware of a possible test in the psychological support region of 100,000 points, which could go up to 108,000”, he adds.
