You Mail will renew, until the end of this year, the fleet of 23 thousand own vehicles that make the transport of postal products and objects daily in the country. 
“This year we are going to work on renewing our automotive fleet. We had a commitment to renew 100% of our fleet in 4 years. Therefore, this year, we still have a considerable portion of these cars to be renewed”, said the president of the Correios, Floriano Peixototo the program Brazil on the agenda.
During an interview, Peixoto highlighted the record profit of R$ 3.7 billion in 2021.
To reach this value, the highest recorded by the public company in the last 22 years, a series of initiatives were taken, among them, the suspension of consulting contracts; changes in the appointment of state superintendents; review of major contracts; sale of real estate and the strengthening of the company’s relationship with other federal agencies.
In Peixoto’s opinion, the improvement in management was linked to the expansion of the degree of protection of the entire postal flow, as well as the reinforcement of safety devices for employees, units and operational routines carried out by the Post Office. In all, this process has consumed BRL 500 million in investments since July 2019.

For 2023, Correios wants to increase the number of international treatment centers. Currently, there are three structures that operate in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Paraná. “We are working to, by the first half of 2023, have two others in the states of Minas Gerais and Goiás”, anticipated Floriano Peixoto.
Correios also intends to build the largest national and international cargo handling center in Latin America at Guarulhos Airport. For this, the company signed an agreement with the airport management.

This is a medium-term project, but he already has a memorandum of understanding signed”, said Floriano Peixoto.
The Post Office has 90,000 employees, 48,000 of whom are postmen. Per day, the Post Office handles 16.3 million parcels and objects from 10 air lines and 11,000 branches across the country.
The company will complete 360 years next year, with its history going back to the creation of Correio-Mor, in 1663, still in Colonial Brazil. The company’s contemporary version dates from 1969.
