Between four and six ships must carry corn brazilian for the China this month, in the first shipments since a new bilateral trade protocol came into effect, according to data from three companies of shipping compiled by Victor Martins, risk manager at HedgePoint Global Markets.
Martins estimates that Brazilian corn shipments to China will reach 368,000 tonnes in the coming days, based on information he obtained independently from market sources and shipping companies updated as of Tuesday.
China’s Cofco is involved in handling most of the cargoes, the compiled data showed.
