USA sells 1.850 million tons of corn from the 2022/23 harvest in the week until the 17th

exporters of United States reported sales of 1.850 million tons of corn of the 2022/23 harvest in the week ended November 17, informed this Friday, the 25th, the Department of United States Agriculture (USDA)🇧🇷

During the week, the main buyers were Mexico (1.705 million tons), Saudi Arabia (49.8 thousand t), Guatemala (34.8 thousand t), Honduras (19.2 thousand t) and Canada (15.2 thousand t), which offset the cancellations made by undisclosed destinations (21.6 thousand t).

For the 2023/24 crop year, sales of 628.1 thousand tons to Mexico were reported.

Sales came within the forecast of analysts consulted by Dow Jones Newswireswho expected volume between 1.8 million tons and 2.7 million tons in the week.

Shipments in the period totaled 462.3 thousand tons in the week.

The main destinations were Mexico (229.6 thousand t), China (70.7 thousand t), Saudi Arabia (49.8 thousand t), Honduras (34.7 thousand t) and Costa Rica (31.8 thousand t).
