The only Ibovespa share that rose this Friday is linked to iron ore (and it is not VALE3)

O Ibovespa (IBOV) fell sharply this Friday (25). Investors used the trading session to digest the speech of Fernando Haddad at an event sponsored by February🇧🇷

The reference index of the Brazilian Stock Exchange melted 2.55%, to 108,976.70 points. The session was one of general decline for the stocks in the portfolio, with the exception of one paper, which was saved with the advance in the prices of the iron ore at China🇧🇷

THE CSN 🇧🇷CSNA3) ended the day up 0.81%, at R$ 14.99. Iron ore futures traded on the Dalian Stock Exchange rose on Friday, extending the rally that began with the recent support measures announced by the Chinese government for the country’s real estate market.

The most traded iron ore for January on China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange ended day trading up 3.3% to settle at $105.84 a tonne, the highest since Aug. 1.

On the Singapore Exchange, the reference iron ore in December rose 3%, to US$ 98.60.

Despite the recovery in steel ingredient prices, traders remain on alert, as China experiences new outbreaks of Covid-19.

China recorded another record of daily infections by Covid-19 on Friday. Cities across the country apply measures and restrictions to control the increase in cases.

Although CSN was the only stock that closed higher, the shares of other companies in the sector had the lowest drops on the Ibovespa. Metalúrgica Gerdau 🇧🇷GOAU4), for example, fell by 0.08%. already the OK 🇧🇷VOUCH3) retreated 0.68%.

The biggest drop was for Qualicorp 🇧🇷WHICH3), which melted 8.39%, followed by CVC Brazil 🇧🇷CVCB3), with a decrease of more than 6%. Due to the rise in future interest rates, the retail also suffered with Via 🇧🇷VIIA3) with a devaluation of 6.28%. Renner stores 🇧🇷LREN3) and Natura 🇧🇷NTCO3) make up the list of the most expressive falls of the day.
