The first full week of December is full of important economic indicators and events in Brazil. The highlight is the last meeting of 2022 of the Monetary Policy Committee (Copom)🇧🇷
No changes are expected in the basic interest rate, with the Selic remaining at 13.75%. Still, the statement that will accompany the decision is expected to be hawkish, reflecting the fiscal uncertainties.
The Copom announcement will be made on Wednesday, after the close of the local trading session. Afterwards, data on retail sales will be released on Thursday, and on consumer inflation (IPCA) on Friday.
Already abroad, price and activity indicators will also be known, on the same days. Among them, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the euro zone, the CPI in China and the PPI in the United States.
