Petrobras is monitoring fuel stocks for New Year’s Eve, says Prates

In a meeting with representatives of the technical group of Mines and Energy of the transitional government this Monday, 5th, the Petrobras 🇧🇷PETR4) assured that it is monitoring the operational stock of fuels for the end of the year.

A new meeting to discuss the company’s divestment policy and strategic plan is scheduled for Tuesday, the 6th.

“We will have a severe winter and a price crisis in Europe🇧🇷 Petrobras stated that it is monitoring and taking measures in relation to the national stock of fuels for this period”, said Senator Jean Paul Prates (PT-RN), in a note.

The parliamentarian is the coordinator of the subgroup of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels of the WG and is quoted to assume command of the state-owned company in the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT)🇧🇷

Also under discussion was the international parity price policy (PPI), Petrobras’ agreement with the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade)which led to the sale of state-owned refineries, in addition to the company’s refining, supply and logistics policies.

This was the first face-to-face meeting of the Mines and Energy WG with Petrobras representatives.

In an interview with journalists, Prates stated that the new management may change the company’s strategic plan, approved last week.

The parliamentarian defended that the state-owned company cannot be “only extracting oil from the pre-salt layer and distributing dividends”.
