Vega uses the LYRA platform for remote sensing, artificial intelligence and structured data for socio-environmental diagnosis of agricultural properties.

The initiative to track indirect purchases in the Cerrado biome is part of a Bunge program that helps sellers of grains to evaluate the socio-environmental performance of suppliers, especially in areas with a higher risk of deforestation.

“Since 2018, Bunge has been able to fully track third-party elevators, so the next step was to expand the focus to soy acquired through an indirect supply chain in the Cerrado,” said Bunge’s senior sustainability manager for America in the statement. do Sul, Pamela Moreira.
