A Guararapes (GUAR3), owner of Riachuelo, reported this Wednesday (29) that its board of directors approved the beginning of the transition process for the position of general director of the company.
André Michel Farber was appointed to replace Oswaldo Aparecido Nunes in the role of CEO from May 2, 2023, when the first board meeting after the 2023 annual general meeting will take place.
Nunes, with 50 years of history within the Guararapes Group, leaves the leadership of the retailer to retire.
Farber holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Unicamp and an MBA from INSEAD, he was CEO of Dafiti Group and attended the Boticário Groupwhere he served for 11 years and became vice president.
According to Guararapes, Farber’s appointment is an important step in the group’s new moment.
“His extensive knowledge of the national market, connection with the Brazilian consumer and expertise in omnichannel strategy, innovation and expansion will certainly add a lot to the business”, commented Flávio Rocha, chairman of the company’s board of directors, in a material fact published today.
