How Raízen (RAIZ4) can dominate the electric car market in Brazil

A root (ROOT4) has plans to consolidate itself in the eletric cars in Brazil, expanding its portfolio of more than 3,000 electric vehicle drivers who use its ultra-fast charging stations connected to the app.

During “Raízen Day” this week, the company gave details about the brand Root Powerwhich already has a strategic partnership with the luxury automaker porsche.

Thus, one of the differentials of the program shell recharge is that it approves electric batteries and serves the main highways in Brazil, in addition to operating in Argentina and Paraguay.

The fleet of hybrid and electric cars in Brazil totaled 120,000 units in 2022, according to a survey by NeoCharge. The number is about 40 times higher than the tram fleet in 2015.

However, Raízen’s plans are much bigger than just the electro mobility market: the company plans to serve all types of customers in the concept of “one stop shop“, with a potential ecosystem of 14 million customers.

The number of customers served by Raízen Power grew from 10,000 in the 2021/22 harvest to the current 24,000. According to Raízen, the energy transition brand already generates BRL 1 billion in ebitda (earnings before taxes). The goal is to reach an EBITDA of R$ 3 billion in the coming years.

In addition, the company is expected to increase the number of customers in all classes to six million.
