The two plan to discuss US concerns over US military moves. Russia on the border with Ukraine and other matters, said the American source. They will also discuss bilateral ties and the implementation of agreements reached at the Geneva summit in June, the Kremlin told Reuters on Saturday.
Biden will also discuss strategic stability, cyber and regional issues. The exact timing of the call was not disclosed.
More than 94,000 Russian troops are clustered near the Ukrainian border. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on Friday that Moscow may be planning a large-scale military offensive towards the end of January, citing intelligence reports.
