There is nothing out of the ordinary in the situation with the detention of the deputy of the Kiev City Council Vladislav Trubitsyn.
This was stated on the air of Talk Show No. 1 on the Ukraine 24 TV channel by political scientist Dmitry Spivak.
“Scandal will be hushed up”
“Think about what numbers are walking upstairs, if a deputy of local councils just takes 40-50 thousand dollars for installing 5, 7, 10, 20 kiosks? I can predict right away that he will not get a real term. Putin, this, that. And believe me, each of us… I have already forgotten this last name, and in a week I won’t remember it exactly. Not a single person will remember, this whole scandal will be hushed up, “he said.

Dmitry Spivak also named the reason why the scandal will be forgotten:
“Because there is nothing out of the ordinary here. Deputies of the ruling party take money, kickbacks for any contracts, for the fact that purchases are made through budgetary organizations, they receive money in “envelopes”, wages up to 25 thousand dollars a month.”
What happened?
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine confirmed the fact that a deputy of the Kiev City Council was caught on a bribe. According to the NABU press service, on February 9, departmental detectives under the procedural leadership of SAPO prosecutors exposed the head of one of the permanent committees of the Kyiv City Council and five other people “for receiving UAH 1.26 million in unlawful benefits while assisting in the organization of retail trade in the capital.”
Journalist Yuri Butusov said that the deputy caught on a bribe is an influential “servant of the people” Vladislav Trubitsyn, head of the Kyiv City Council Commission on Entrepreneurship and Improvement.
According to the journalist, Trubitsyn is a key person in issuing permits for MAFs in Kiev, he is associated with the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.
Recall that the brother-in-law of People’s Deputy Alexander Trukhin, who got into a scandal due to an accident and a bribe offer, a deputy of the Dnipro City Council from the Servant of the People, Daniil Miro, said that Trukhin was not driving at the time of the accident.
Other scandals
Recently, a deputy from the Servant of the People Serhiy Kuzminykh was detained by NABU detectives on a bribe in the amount of UAH 558,000. According to the investigation, the deputy received funds for assisting in the conclusion of contracts between private companies and a hospital in the Zhytomyr region. He was informed of the suspicion. At the moment, a trial has been scheduled for February 11, at which the Kuzminykhs will choose a measure of restraint.
A case has also been opened about offering unlawful benefits to the police against the people’s deputy from the Servant of the People Alexander Trukhin, who is involved in a scandal with an accident. A video has been published on the Web where Trukhin, at the scene of the accident, offers law enforcement officers a bribe to let him leave the scene.
