(ANSA) – VERONA, FEBRUARY 10 – Marco Furlan, one of the two members of the Ludwig group, who sowed death – 15 murders asked for forgiveness from the Pope, more than 30 years after the crimes of priests and homosexuals for which he was convicted – between 1977 and 1984. The meeting with Pope Bergoglio, who “knew who he was facing”, and the request for forgiveness, writes the Verona Arena, took place on 13 December 2018, in the Clementine Hall, when the Pontiff received a delegation from ‘Telepace’, led by Fr Guido Todeschini, Furlan’s spiritual adviser. It was he who recounted the touching moments of that day. “The Pope – the priest recalls – knew who he was facing and that he was accused of having killed, in addition to the others, also three religious (Father Gabriele Pigato and Father Giuseppe Lovato, Monte Berico Vicenza in 1982; Don Armando Bison, Trento, in 1983 -ndr). I was close to him and I couldn’t even speak. Furlan approached him, Pope Francis looked at him with love and with a smile, he put his hands on his head and Marco was crying, he was in tears “.
