In the Court of Appeal in Kiev today, February 11, the lawyers of the fifth president of Ukraine, the leader of the “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko will appeal measure of restraintwhich he was elected in the case of treason.
According to the Direct channel, a rally of supporters of the ex-president is gathering under the court, equipment and law enforcement officers have also been pulled under the building.

The first clashes with law enforcement officers have already occurred due to obstruction of the installation of the scene. As a result, a scuffle took place, in which deputies Vladimir Vyatrovich and Mikhail Bondar from the EU participated. According to activists, the second people’s deputy suffered.
Suspicion to the fifth president
- Petro Poroshenko was declared suspected on December 20. He is charged with high treason and assistance to the activities of terrorist organizations “DPR” and “LPR”.
- The fifth president is suspected of participating in a criminal scheme for the supply of coal from the temporarily occupied territories for a total amount of about 1.5 billion hryvnias.
- On January 17, the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, flew from Warsaw to Kiev. The return of the politician was stormy. The security forces cordoned off the airport in the morning, and the politician’s supporters met him near the terminal.
- In addition, at the passport control, Poroshenko’s passport was taken away, but returned after 15 minutes. According to the politician, the situation was resolved only thanks to the large number of journalists who flew with him.
- On January 19, the Pechersky District Court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint for the leader of the European Solidarity, Petro Poroshenko. He was released on personal bond. However, the politician’s property was arrested.
- After that, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed an appeal against the court’s decision to impose a preventive measure against the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.
