Camorra: assets seized for 9 million from two entrepreneurs

(ANSA) – NAPLES, FEBRUARY 14 – The Naples DIA has seized assets for about nine million euros from building contractors from Casapesenna believed to be close to the Casalesi clan.

One of the two recipients of the precautionary measures issued at the request of the DDA of Naples was arrested in 2006 and in 2020 with the accusation of being linked to the Casalese mafia and the measure was confirmed by the Court for the Review of Naples and also by the Supreme Court of Cassation.

At the same time, two companies, recipients, however, of public regional contracts were seized.

Last December the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere (Prevention Measures Section) ordered the emergency seizure of two life insurance policies of one and a half million euros charged to one of the two entrepreneurs suspected of having laundered the clan’s money. Further patrimonial investigations concerning the two entrepreneurs and their families made it possible to bring out other huge financial resources divided into investment funds, shares, current accounts and quotas, for about 9 million euros, seized today by the Anti-Mafia Investigation Department.
