Green pass: new protest in Trieste, procession blocks the center

Superbonus, Count:

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 15 FEB – New protest no Green pass this afternoon in Trieste. The garrison, as announced by the promoters through social media, was scheduled at 6 pm in the central Piazza Unità, an area off-limits to demonstrations and armored with barriers and police forces just before that time.

Arriving at the meeting, some demonstrators then stopped on the sidewalk of the promenade overlooking the square, shouting ‘free area’ in front of the police in riot gear. Others, over 300, instead gave life to a procession parading in the pedestrian area surrounding the square and on the sidewalks with the banner ‘Together with the Over 50s, no vaccination obligation, no Green pass’ at their head.

Subsequently, the group took to the street, occupying the portion of the waterfront in front of Piazza Unità. After a few minutes a new procession started which first crossed the pedestrian area and then went down to the street and reached the central via Carducci, effectively blocking traffic. Local police on site.

Along the way and during the first moments of protest, the demonstrators, not all with masks, repeatedly chanted slogans such as ‘no Green pass’ and ‘no blackmail at work’. The procession then ended in Piazza Oberdan at around 8pm. (ANSA).
